I’ve grown up with him (not personally). He and his fans have all changed as they’ve grown up in different ways; becoming the person we were meant to be. None of us are the same person we were, we have all change, including Patrick. Yes, I agree, some FOB fans are complete arseholes, but not all of us. I’m guessing you’re a Soul Punk fan due to the fact that you slashed the FOB fan base so harshly, but you haven’t had Patrick in your ‘life’ for that long. (i know that sound cheesy, but that’s the only way i can put it). Frankly, some people don’t like change. It’s like seeing your older brother change his personality when he gets a new girlfriend or something. it’s not easy seeing someone you’ve admired for so long become someone different. but me and the majority of the Fall Out Boy fan base has accepted that. Honestly, i didn’t really give Patrick a chance when his first solo single came out. I couldn’t bare the fact that someone i loved for so long has changed so much. Then i realized that this was ‘Patrick Stump’. this was that man i have loved since the age of 9. So naturally, i fell in live with Soul Punk, and effectively, fell in love with Patrick all over again. So actually, random creator of this post, You fuck off. Hi, I’m the person who made this post. And actually, I have been a devout Fall Out Boy fan for quite a few years now. Fall Out Boy will always be my favorite band. so first of all, quit making assumptions. It makes you out to be a real dick. Secondly, you didn’t read the entire confession. You only read “I hate the Fall Out boy fanbase” and went off on your stupid tirade. I didn’t say I hate it all the time, I said that I hate it right now in light of recent events that have caused Patrick to want to leave the music scene. Have you read that post of his? If not, I can link it for you. In it, he talks about people who go out of their way to hate on him. People who go to his shows just to bitch about how his solo stuff sucks and how he was better in Fall Out Boy. People who send hate mail to his house. People who supposedly support him. Yeah, okay. You also failed to read the part where I say, “I understand if you don’t like it” it’s as if you want to be pissed at someone for attacking the fanbase. They deserve to be attacked right now; they’re hurting someone they supposedly love, and that’s wrong. Like I said, I know people don’t like change. But did you go out of your way to make him feel like shit over it? No? Then I wasn’t fucking talking about you.  And thirdly, I’ll make the reference back to this confession when I say that he doesn’t have to prove ANYTHING to us. He should be able to do what he wants and have the full support of the Fall Out Boy fanbase. Not necessarily overwhelmingly positive fawning over him and shit, but support. why? Because he was-and is-a part of something you love. You think he’s going to go back to it if you act like an ungrateful twat? So no, you fuck off. And have a good day.
